carbon disclosure project
Our CDP6 submission
details our corporate programme to address climate change, and some of the
measures we have already undertaken to reduce the environmental impact of our
operations around the world.

Our CDP6 submission is an important first
step in baselining Dimension Data’s greenhouse gas emissions around the
globe.

Completed
with the assistance of Pricewaterhouse Coopers (PwC) Sustainability &
Climate Change Services, our CDP6 submission is an important first step in
baselining Dimension Data’s greenhouse gas emissions around the globe. We are
continuing to work with PwC to develop a Carbon Management Plan, to establish
our future carbon reduction initiatives and goals. Dimension Data’s long-term
objective centres on implementing an Environmental Management System, to
establish a process and governance framework for our global operations, which
currently extend to 47 countries.
We
have been able to turn our experience in making our CDP6 submission into
services and solutions for our clients. Dimension Data has developed a suite
of consulting services – Office Sustainability Services – that are designed to help
an office-based organisation build and execute its response to climate
change. This suite of services, together with a range of other
environmentally-sustainable services and solutions are grouped under the
concept “Carbon-Friendly
Infrastructure”.
From
a solutions perspective, in our CDP6 submission we have outlined a number of
important carbon emission reduction projects undertaken by Dimension Data.

Sustainability Efforts.
Dimension
Data’s submission has been assessed by an external group that includes
investors, other companies, non-governmental organisations, governments,
consultants, students, scientists and advisors. Featuring in the CDP UK FTSE
350 Report 2008 (launched in London on 8 October 2008), Dimension Data debuted
in the Carbon Disclosure Leadership Index (CDLI) with a score of 93, ranking
third in our industry category of Hospitality, Leisure and Business Services.
The score is indicative of the quality of Dimension Data’s submission in
providing insight into our strategic response to climate change, and also
based on the clarity of disclosure on our greenhouse gas emissions.
