Participating in leading industry bodies such as The Green Grid means that Dimension Data will be positioned at the frontline of evolving green technology and services, and be able to contribute our own thinking and trial new concepts as they arise.

The aim of The Green Grid consortium of companies (www.thegreengrid.org) is to advance energy efficiency in data centres and business computing ecosystems. Membership of The Green Grid is helping us identify further energy reduction opportunities, and develop new services and solutions to address energy efficiency, for our clients and our own operations. We will also be able to apply The Green Grid metric standards to enable comparison and benchmarking of our energy efficiency projects.

The Green Grid is also a valuable body to enable sharing of innovation and to provide peer networking and educational opportunities amongst member organisations.

About The Green Grid
The Green Grid is a non-profit trade organisation of IT professionals formed to address the issues of power and cooling in data centres. The Green Grid seeks to define best practices for optimising the efficient consumption of power at the IT equipment and facility levels, as well as the manner in which cooling is delivered at these levels. The association is funded by four levels of membership, and activities are driven by end-user needs. The Green Grid does not endorse any vendor-specific products or solutions, but will seek to provide industry-wide recommendations on best practices, metrics, and technologies that will improve overall data centre energy efficiencies.
