IPAD connector

Does the process of provisioning IP telephony add to your management challenge? Does having a different directory for your telephony result in inconsistent contact information? Do you consistently disable access to everything – including telephony - when employees leave the organisation?

If you identify with these issues, you could benefit from a tool that automates the provisioning and management of new users across voice and data networks.

Integrating Cisco IP Telephony into Microsoft Active Directory

Dimension Data’s IP Telephony/Active Directory (IPAD) Connector is a user-provisioning solution that streamlines the management of identities across voice and data network environments.

IPAD simplifies the deployment and management of IP telephony by integrating user identities between Microsoft® Active Directory and Cisco Unified CallManager. It acts as middleware between these two vendor technologies to ensure that both directories are consistent and up-to-date.

IPAD reduces the cost, time and security risk associated with updating multiple directories by integrating Cisco Unified CallManager into Microsoft® Active Directory.

IPAD enables unified communications with accurate and up-to-date contact information – key to successful collaboration.

IPAD integrates the Microsoft® Active Directory and Cisco Unified CallManager environment by:

  • Providing a single point of user administration
  • Ensuring consistent replication of user information
  • Managing additions, changes and deletions
  • Providing logging of changes to these environments
  • Allowing mapping of data fields between the two systems
  • Scaling to connect additional directories for a complete identity management system

Supported Platforms

  • Cisco Unified CallManager V4.0 and higher
  • Microsoft® Active Directory
  • Microsoft® Windows 2000 and higher

Features

  • Does not  require schema changes to Microsoft® Active Directory
