technical hall of fame

Dimension Data’s Technical Hall of Fame was first established in Australia in 2006 to recognise the outstanding contributions of technical staff members. The Technical Hall of Fame recognises individuals who, through sustained technical innovation and creativity, have enriched Dimension Data's industry reputation, intellectual property and commercial success. We are immensely proud to call these inspiring gurus our colleagues!

Jane, National Self-Service Consultant
Since joining Dimension Data from the linguistics department at Monash University, Jane has been integral to the development of the VUI (voice user interface) and also our speech persona methodology, and has travelled around the world helping other Dimension Data offices implement these practices. Her role became national in 2004 and she is now mainly involved in pre-sales, sales and contact centre consulting, but still keeps her hand in some aspects of delivery. She helped create our speech teams, win significant clients and awards, and is recognised globally as a leading expert in persona and VUI design. (December 2007).

Jon, Enterprise Architect
Jon joined Dimension Data over 11 years ago to work in post-sales service. As the business grew and more people came on board, Jon’s team kept growing and he soon found himself running a team of 25 engineers and then Dimension Data’s Victorian services group. Five years ago, Jon worked on one of Dimension Data’s defining projects: at the time the largest collaborative infrastructure rollout in the Southern Hemisphere, for the Department of Sustainability and Environment. Since then, Jon has broadened his focus from networking to visual and unified communications.  His breadth of expertise has earned him local and global recognition, helping to cement Dimension Data’s reputation as a market leader in unified communications. (December 2007).

Did you know?

In 2006 Dimension Data won the BRW Client Choice Award for the Best Professional Services Firm in Australia.

Paul, Enterprise Architect
Paul came to Dimension Data from BHP thirteen-and-a-half years ago. He has filled a number of roles over the years but the one constant has been his sheer technical mastery. One of his most notable achievements to date has been IPAD, a technology that integrates IP telephony with Active Directory. This technology was the first of its kind in Australia and is now used by Dimension Data globally. (November 2006).

Ron, Level 3 Engineer, CIS
Ron has been with Dimension Data for eleven years and is so knowledgeable, vendors often ring him for advice on their products. A dedicated technician who’s notorious for helping clients out-of-hours and even when on holiday, Ron is also a born tinkerer and the brain behind IVR.info, an Interactive Voice Response database used by Dimension Data employees every day. (November 2006).

Darren, Enterprise Architect
In just seven years with Dimension Data, Darren has built up an impressive list of achievements, including roles as the principal architect for hosted IP telephony solutions for two major telecommunications carriers, and architecting our internal IP Telephony rollout. He has helped Cisco engineers debug their software and worked on integrating our internal implementation of CallManager 7 - the first rollout of the technology in Australia.
