As the name of our corporate social responsibility (CSR) umbrella programme suggests, our people reach out with the combined strength of their heads, hearts and hands. Our employees choose which causes and initiatives they’d like to support, so we touch not only the lives of community members who need it most, but also the hearts of our colleagues who engage with the organisations and causes closest to them.

Americas’ new hires with big heartsAs part of our new hire training in the Americas, we incorporate a Heads, Hearts and Hands event in the training agenda. This allows our new hires to experience first-hand the strong emphasis we place on corporate social responsibility in our culture. In 2012, we worked with a local domestic abuse shelter, The Healing Place, located in Raleigh. During the year we held a collection drive in the Raleigh office to collect sample-size personal items. We then organised a Heads, Hearts and Hands activity with our new hires to make up goody bags of these items to donate to the shelter. Miss Terri, the shelter’s director, said, ‘The Healing Place loves Dimension Data’s new hires and their commitment to supporting us!’
