 Enterprise mobility-as-a-service

Today’s workforce demands to be more mobile. Along with most other large organisations, you’re challenged to integrate mobility into your business. This is driven by a need to increase the productivity and enhance the collaboration of your workforce, which can be achieved by taking a more user-focused approach.

This move to user-centric computing has sparked a range of initiatives across the organisation that will strain your current ICT infrastructure, support systems, and resources. As the mobile workforce grows, you’ll need maximum collaboration, both on and off campus.

At the same time, your consumers are increasingly using smart devices to interact with your products and services. Therefore, interacting with your customers via mobility-enabled channels is becoming a key market differentiator.

Enterprise Mobility-as-a-Service is a global offering, which evolved from the intelligence gained by Dimension Data’s End-user Computing Development Model. The Service is hosted on Dimension Data's cloud infrastructure. It’s a policy-driven solution that ensures flexible integration, rapid implementation, and fast adoption of mobility across the organisation.

The Service enables you to monitor and manage all your mobile devices, simplify mobility deployments, and gain visibility and control of your mobile fleet. It provides a policy framework, as well as secure access to corporate information from any device. This ensures the appropriate authentication, and adherence to corporate governance.

You can upload corporate mobile invoices for analysis, which gives you valuable insights into the costs associated with your entire mobile fleet. Extensive reporting and analytical capabilities provide a clear view of all enterprise mobility usage patterns. With Enterprise Mobility-as-a-Service, you’ll have a platform to accommodate all work styles, now and into the future.

Our approach

Dimension Data’s approach to enterprise mobility, consists of three core components:

  • The Enterprise Mobility Framework identifies and contextualises the various interrelated and interdependent components of an end-user strategy for your organisation.
  • This is followed by the End-user Computing Development Model which, with input from your organisation, determines your ‘as-is’ and ‘to-be’ states.
  • The output of both these engagements is the formulation of an end-user computing solution roadmap that you can use as a blueprint for implementing your new mobility strategy.
