Changing lives: Dimension Data Saturday School
When our CEO Brett Dawson says that we’re ‘not selling solutions, we’re changing lives’, he means it. Just ask the hundreds of young people who’ve benefitted from Dimension Data’s Saturday School since it started 18 years ago with just 15 young people eager to make the most of their education.

We partner with tertiary education and learning development institutions to help learners prepare not only for their final exams, but also for their tertiary education. We also help to prepare them for life after school, equipping them with leadership, entrepreneurial and social skills so they can achieve their full potential. To date, we’ve had the privilege of making a positive contribution to the lives and futures of over 800 young people. At the beginning of 2013, 100 potential Grade 11 pupils were interviewed for a place in the Saturday School. Thirty employees volunteered to take part in the interview process and 54 learners were selected to be part of the two-year programme. We look forward to reporting on their achievements next year!

Class of 2012 excels!
The Saturday School graduation took place in December 2012 at The Campus in Johannesburg. The class of 2012 achieved a 100% pass rate, 93.6% university endorsements, and 83 distinctions among 41 learners.

Saturday School Work Experience
Over two days in July 2013, Dimension Data hosted the Saturday School Grade 12 learners for the Saturday School Work Experience initiative. Volunteer employees from Dimension Data, Internet Solutions, Britehouse, and 3Fifteen mentored the learners and gave them an opportunity to learn what things are like in the real business world.
