Tom’s capabilities and deep technical knowledge of network devices, protocols and operations, security design and implementation, together with his solutions-driven and client-orientated work method, make him a highly sought-after operative in our European business. He has specialised in the areas of security assessments, network devices, systems, topologies and policies, penetration testing, risk analysis, intrusion detection and prevention design and implementation, including exhaustive lab testing and validation through attack techniques. Tom has worked on some groundbreaking Security projects, including a Black Box and White Box Penetration Test of an online web banking application, using Digipass and Fat Client authentication and the Internet. For his Masters thesis, Tom researched and developed a proof-of-concept for making identity management easier by using an electronic identity card. This work has been developed in conjunction with Microsoft Belgium.
