Sending a file of any size is as simple as emailing or posting a link. Users can retrieve files using a Web browser or map the cloud file server as a network drive (on Windows, Mac OS and Linux) for convenient drag, drop and edit capabilities.

Hosted Utility Storage automatically synchronises copies of files on your computer hard drive, external disk, NAS device and online storage. You can access, edit and store files locally in your office or in the cloud, providing the access speed advantages of traditional servers and ubiquitous access of cloud solutions.

 

Secure, permission-based sharing

Hosted Utility Storage lets you securely store your business files online, enabling effortless collaboration between you and your clients. You can set up permission-based folders and customise who can access them to suit your business needs. You can share files by sending out a link to a file or designating a public folder. Alternatively, you can require users to log in with a password and set read, write and delete privileges on individual folders.

Offline access: Local Cloud

• The optional Hosted Utility Storage Local Cloud allows users to access files and folders while offline, synchronising between the local copy and the Hosted Utility Storage server

• Once the connection is restored, file changes are automatically synchronised between the Local Cloud and those on the Hosted Utility Storage server

• Local Cloud can be deployed on your computer hard drive, direct attached storage, Network Attached Storage (NAS) device or generic Linux server

• Accessing and editing large files over the Local Cloud is much faster than performing the same actions over the Internet, and all changes are synchronised
