Dimension Data’s Systems Integration business generates 82% of the Group’s annual revenues and provides specialist IT infrastructure solutions across six lines of business. These solutions include Network Integration, Converged Communications, Security, Data Centre Solutions, Customer Interactive Solutions (CIS) and Microsoft Solutions.

In addition to its Systems Integration business, Dimension Data’s other businesses are Internet Solutions and Plessey in Middle East and Africa, Express Data in Australia, and Merchants in the UK and South Africa. Together, these businesses represent 18% of the Group’s total revenues.
Africa/ Europe
Merchants
Merchants, a wholly owned Dimension Data company, is a leading provider of bespoke contact centre solutions. The company has a 28 year track record of successfully delivering customer contact centre solutions for a variety of blue chip organisations around the globe.
Merchants is represented in the UK and South Africa. Their offshore contact centre operations which are located in Cape Town and Johannesburg deliver contact centre services for both international and South African clients. Merchants also has a consulting presence in both these regions.
Through their joint venture with TSYS (TSYS Managed Services EMEA - they operate contact centres in the Netherlands and Milton Keynes.
Merchants is well-placed to offer bespoke contact centre consulting and outsource solutions that balance the interdependencies of cost, performance and risk.
Merchants/TSYS partnership
In 2006, Merchants and TSYS entered into a joint venture agreement to deliver a comprehensive range of managed services to financial institutions across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. The joint venture combines the call centre capabilities of Merchants with a TSYS special business unit known as TSYS Managed Services EMEA, both of which specialise in customer-servicing operations, including back office, cross-selling and up-selling activities for financial institutions engaged in card issuing and merchant acquisition.
TSYS is one of the world’s largest payment services companies, offering a broad range of packaged and outsourced issuer and acquirer processing technologies that support consumer finance, credit, debit and prepaid services for financial institutions and retail companies worldwide.
Middle East & Africa
Internet Solutions
Internet Solutions is a wholly owned subsidiary of Dimension Data. The company is Southern Africa’s most established and experienced Internet Service Provider. Since it was found in 1993, Internet Solutions has been providing innovative end-to-end connectivity solutions and related services across the African continent.
The company pioneered a range of technology solutions in South Africa, including fibre optic links (1994), mobile connectivity and switched VPN (1997), application hosting (2003), and VoIP and wireless hotspots (2005). Today Internet Solutions employs 1200 people and is a leading provider of Internet Protocol-based connectivity, communications, cloud and carrier services in the African market, and for African clients into the global market. The company, which has offices in Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban, Eastern Cape, Mozambique, Ghana, Nigeria, and the UK provides services to large public and private sector organisations, medium sized organisations, and to smaller organisations and consumers through its value channel programme.
Plessey
With a track record of over fifty years, Plessey is Africa’s leading provider of turnkey telecoms infrastructure solutions. A wholly owned subsidiary of Dimension Data, Plessey partners with technology vendors to deliver services and solutions to network operators and service providers. These include the establishment of core base station infrastructure to delivering wireless, optical fibre, satellite, microwave solutions and managed solutions – all key to Africa’s communications and socio-economic development. Plessey has a direct presence in 22 African countries.
Merchants (Silah Gulf)
In 2009, Merchants formed a joint venture partnership with the Bahrain Government to create a National Contact Centre, Silah Gulf. With clients in both private and public sector organisations, Silah Gulf serves the Gulf Cooperative Council (GCC) region as a customer contact management company providing technology, outsourced contact centre services and customer management consulting services. The company has two contact centre locations in Bahrain and one in Kuwait.
Britehouse
Britehouse is a Venture Holding business that invests in companies with specific business software application skills and a strong delivery track record. These companies focus on business process automation and improvement.
Britehouse provides its clients with services and solutions that integrate across leading SAP and Microsoft technologies. The company’s specialist SAP Division is a SAP Africa Service Alliance Partner. In addition, Britehouse’s 3fifteen Technologies Solutions (Pty) Ltd business is a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner.

OpSource
OpSource is a California-based company that provides cloud and managed hosting solutions that enable businesses to accelerate growth and scale operations while controlling costs and reducing IT infrastructure support risks. More than six hundred enterprises, service providers and Software-as-a-Service ISVs rely on OpSource's expertise, experience and cloud automation technology to operate high-availability, business-critical hosting environments.
