Position Summary and Primary Objectives

·         The person will be responsible for the day to day backup administration.

·         Tasks will include:

o        Scheduling of backups.

o        Checking backup success rates and failures.

o        Backup troubleshooting.

o        Report writing.

o        Adherence to internal and Itil-based processes & procedures.

o        Interface with Teamsource clients on a regular basis.

o        Adherence to Daily, weekly & monthly operational tasks.

Requirements: Education, Training and Experience

·         2 years IT working experience.

·         Working knowledge of Windows 2000 and 2003 Server Operating Systems.

·         Working knowledge of Tivoli (TSM).

·         Working knowledge of Remote Administration.

·         Good Troubleshooting skills

·         Reporting skills (MS Excel)

·         Good communication skills (verbal and written).

The following skills will be an added advantage

·         Working knowledge of VERITAS Net backup

·         Working knowledge of VERITAS Backup Exec

·         Working knowledge of AIX

·         Working knowledge of WysDM

·         Working knowledge of Command Central Services
