Position Summary and Primary Objectives

Project Implementations, Moves, Adds or Changes, Reporting, Faults

Main Duties / Key Accountabilities

·         Look after the Durban security customer install base from a maintenance and support basis

·         Be responsible for implementation of security solutions in the Durban regions

·         Formulate monthly reports on the security environments of certain customers

Requirements: Education, Training and Experience

·         Solid understanding of basic networking and network protocols e.g. TCP/IP, Routing etc

·         Solid understanding of networking in a Windows environment

·         Previous experience in support and administration of at least one of the following firewall types: Cisco Pix/ASA,  Checkpoint, Netscreen

·         Previous experience in configuration and troubleshooting of VPN’s.

·         Cisco networking experience advantageous

·         Experience in IPS and IDS systems advantageous

·         Experience in other security products advantageous: e.g. Webmarshal, Mailmarshal, Bluecoat, McAfee, Tippingpoint

·         Previous experience in Linux / Unix advantageous

·         Security Certifications advantageous

·         Individual who is innovative to bring new ideas to the department would be preferred
