Position Summary and Primary Objectives

As a member of the legal & risk management Africa team, the preparation of customer-facing contracts (in particular Teamsource contracts), negotiation of contracts, associated administration, mitigating contractual risk, escalating risk issues to the general manager.

 

 

Main Duties / Key Accountabilities

  • CONTRACTS
  • Preparation of contract documentation in line with national models and processes.
  • Negotiation/discussion with various levels of senior/middle management and their legal representatives, both internally and externally.
  • Discussion with various role players to ensure the services offered are in line with those contracted.
  • Ensure both legal and operational risk is recognised and appropriately dealt with, escalating to the general manager where necessary.
  • Maintenance of associated registers and documentation.
  • Submission to customers via account managers or direct by courier.
  • Communicate where necessary directly with customer to ensure signature. Escalate where unable to obtain.
  • Ensure all signed contracts are scanned onto the contracts community site and arranging of secure filing.
  • Liaise with contract administration teams in all regions.
  • OFFICE MANAGEMENT
  • Efficient and effective administrative support to the team.
  • Maintain an accurate and updated filing/document management system.
  • Such other administrative duties as may arise.

 

 

Requirements: Education, Training and Experience

  •  A law orientated degree such as B.Comm (Law), preferably an LLB (or working towards one and near completion) would be an advantage.
  • At least five years’ working experience, preferably with experience in contracts or at least strong commercial experience.
  • Excellent working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word. PowerPoint and Excel.  Access would be an advantage).
  • Proven typing ability.
