Position Summary and Primary Objectives

·         The incumbent will be an outbound technical resource responsible for effecting electrical repairs and cabling and electrical installations for our customers.

Main Duties / Key Accountabilities

• Ensure that services work is completed within agreed time frames.
• Clear communication and feedback to customers at all times.
• Collect and verify material from stores.
• Arrange and sign for specialised tools when required
• Check consumables stock in your installation vehicle. 
• Check tools daily, making sure that they are functional. 
• Assist and participate with planning of installation.
• Assist and participate in investigating cable access routing.
• Follow instructions from the Project Leader and / or Installation Manager and make sure that you understand what, where, how and when these instructions must be carried out.
• Assist and participate in making sure that installations are completed as per scope of work and to the satisfaction of the client.
• Clean and restore the Installation site as originally found. 
• Take ownership and ensure that the quality is of a high standard as per DDAI standards.
• Ensure that all tools and remaining / excessive materials are recovered.
• Hand back all remaining materials to Stores and ensure that the correct items and quantities are on the receipt note before signing it.

Requirements: Education, Training and Experience

• Formal electrical qualification
• Strong technical skills on voice and data cabling
• Good understanding of fibre optic cabling an advantage
• Matric or equivalent technical qualification
• Two to three years experience in the same field
• Valid driving license
