Dimension Data Advanced Infrastructure (DDAI) is a specialist building services and IT systems integrator that helps clients to plan, build, support and manage their building infrastructures. In October 2010, Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation (NTT), one of the largest global telecommunications service providers, acquired 100% of Dimension Data plc for GBP 2.1 billion, making Dimension Data a wholly-owned subsidiary of the NTT Group.

Kari Baden
Managing Director
Joining Dimension Data Group in 1997, Kari is the Managing Director at Dimension Data Advanced Infrastructure (DDAI), where he has developed the business unit to take full advantage of the burgeoning ‘intelligent buildings’ sector, driving revenues to £30million+ in just three years.
Before joining DDAI, Kari worked for several construction companies, as well holding a variety of roles in the telecommunications and networking industry. As such, over his 20 year career, Kari has developed a unique blend of knowledge and experience in business, construction and technology.
Kari has a Construction Management degree from Southbank University.
Mark Harrison
Operations Director
Mark joined Dimension Data Group in 2001 after previously working for GK Communications, which was acquired by the Group. Today, Mark is Dimension Data Advanced Infrastructure’s (DDAI) Operations Director and is responsible for business development, client relationship management, business operations, and contracts and financial control of all projects. During this time, Mark has overseen high profile projects such as Westfield, Stratford City, and has successfully established relationships with all of DDAI’s customers.
Mark is a highly experienced company director and project manager, with extensive knowledge of all aspects of electrical, mechanical and ICT/networking contract management, ranging from business development and financial management through to on-site project design and implementation.
Mark joined DDAI following completion of an apprenticeship in electrical engineering and design. He is a firm believer in the training and development of individuals, as well as teamwork.
Steven Butler
Finance Manager
As the Finance Manager for Dimension Data Advanced Infrastructure (DDAI), Steven holds primary responsibility for the company’s financial strategy and compliance inclusive of financial reporting, company funding, and management of company financial risk. Steven has led the finance department since joining the company in 2005 managing the finances during the company’s profitable growth.
Previous to his role at DDAI, Steven was an accountant for The Billington Group, where he was responsible for the production of financial information – including management accounts, budgets, manufacturing operational variances and financial statements. Steve has also worked as an auditor for Chartered Accountants, Lonsdale and Marsh.
Steven is a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accounts (CIMA) and has a degree in Accounting and Finance from Liverpool John Moores University.
John Brough
Head of Commercial
John’s primary responsibility as Head of Commercial at Dimension Data Advanced Infrastructure (DDAI) is to oversee all commercial aspects of the construction projects obtained by DDAI – including financial control from conception to completion.
John’s roles previous to DDAI include positions as an Independent Commercial Advisor, a Commercial Manager and a Senior Quantity Surveyor. With over 30 years’ experience in the commercial construction business, including 15 years’ experience in commercial management, John has unrivalled knowledge and expertise in a wide variety of construction disciplines. John graduated from Wolverhampton University with a Higher National Certificate in Mechanical Engineering.
Neil O’Connor
Service Delivery Manager
Having joined Dimension Data Group in 2000 when GK Communications was acquired by the Group, Neil is today a highly skilled Service Delivery Manager for Dimension Data Advanced Infrastructure (DDAI). Neil has over 20 years’ experience in the telecommunications industry and extensive knowledge of project management, project engineering - including structured cabling design and installation - construction documentation, network hardware and support contracts.
Prior to his wide-ranging career at DDAI, Neil worked for the civil service, in which he first gained experience within the engineering and construction industry. Neil prides himself on his pre and post-sales professionalism and excellent customer relation skills; with previous clients including HSBC, Cap Gemini and Warwick University.
Andrew Tipper
Pre-Sales Manager
Andrew joined Dimension Data Advanced Infrastructure (DDAI) in 2007 and has been the Pre-Sales Manager for the company ever since. Within this role, Andrew is responsible for senior management support to the sales team, operations and back office teams. He manages the pre-sales team on a day-to-day basis, provides overall bid management and team strategy.
Previous to his role at DDAI, Andrew was the technical manager for a data cabling installation company, where he was responsible for the overall technical direction of the company and management of the design and estimating team. With over 25 years’ experience in the data cabling, fibre optic and networking industry, Andrew has invaluable experience at all levels, ranging from design and implementation, to overall direction and management. Andrew has an Electrical and Electronic Engineering degree from Liverpool University.
