NTT expands data center campus Munich 2 new building ready for operation in Q4 2020
Hattersheim, Unterschleissheim – 20 March 2020 – NTT Ltd., a world-leading global technology services provider, has completed the shell of its second building within the Munich 2 (MUC2) data center campus. The new building is scheduled to go online in the fourth quarter of 2020 and once completed the campus will provide around 6,200 sqm of IT space and 14 MW of IT load for clients.The MUC2 expansion is part of the growth strategy of the Global Data Centers division of NTT which operates one of the largest data center platforms in the world. With over 160 data centers spanning more than 20 countries and regions, NTT Group’s clients and partners have access to a powerful digital ecosystem with global reach and local expertise.

Our client base in the region is constantly growing and our existing clients have a strong demand for additional data center capacity. Our modern, highly secure and very energy-efficient data centers are the right choice for local and global businesses of all vertical sectors.”
Unterschleissheim`s First Mayor Boeck commented: “I am very pleased to see NTT’s data center footprint in Unterschleissheim expanding. The digital transformation of our society relies on a solid digital infrastructure and data centers are a vital element to this. The greater Munich area is a hot spot for tech companies as well as traditional industries such as automotive. They all need state-of-the-art data center infrastructure. Consequently, the expansion adds to the attractiveness of our region as a business location and its economic development.”
