Outcomes and agenda for your professional SAP consultation workshop
Step 1
Go to our assessment page and complete the online assessment form that will help us assess your current state. There are no profound technical questions and it takes about five minutes to complete.
Step 2
After completing the assessment, request for your free workshop by submitting the application form. One of our specialists will then contact you to make the necessary arrangements.
Step 3
Workshop Day one – Showcase our capabilities and credentials and discuss best practices for running SAP on Azure. Then examine your existing architecture and goals for the future.
Step 4
Next, our SAP and Microsoft specialists take a week to form a draft set of recommendations for your migration to the cloud. Expect more contact while we clarify some of the technical details.
Step 5
Workshop Day two – Present workshop outcomes with an outlined proposal that includes a baseline SAP migration plan including costs. Furthermore, the plan will include a Managed Services proposal, Azure cloud and SAP Basis management.

The assessment forms an essential part of your journey with Dimension Data, generating a report to better understand and acknowledge what is required for your transformation. Throughout the workshop, our SAP and Azure specialists will gain knowledgeable insights of your current SAP landscape allowing us to provide the DD SAP Assessment report.
Having a view of your current IT and SAP infrastructure is critical in order to plan the next phase of your transformation and provides the necessary information to build a tailor-made plan that meets your current and future business needs.
Structure
● Upfront consultation workshop – two days (with a week in between for analysis)
● Proposal for a migration solution to Azure public cloud + systems management
● A high-level cloud migration plan including a RACI matrix of responsibilities during the migration
● Including Azure IaaS: VM, Storage, Backup solution, etc.
● A Managed Services proposal with Azure cloud management, OS, Database, and SAP Basis management
The Cost
We don’t charge for running the workshop or for providing you with our written migration proposal and recommendations. As the time of our SAP specialists is limited, we need to evaluate your workshop request to ensure that your goals are in line with the overall objectives of relocating your SAP to Microsoft Azure public cloud. Though very unlikely, following the assessment, we retain the right to refuse access to these facilities for those requests that do not fall into our defined scope.
