Johannesburg is part of our growth strategy as we support Africa’s digital transformation. We already operate 11 data centres with up to 10 MW of IT load across Africa, as we continue to contribute to economic growth and social development across the region.

Power
· On-site substation delivering 20MVA of power
· Maximum client IT load of 12MW
· Average power density of 2.0kW/m2
· Power supply at 20kV level
· All IT racks supplied by two separate UPS systems (A- and B-supply) with N+1 redundancy
· Redundantly designed emergency power system with diesel generators N+1

Security
· Redundant monitoring of all critical functions underpinned by standardised security processes and the multi-level security zone principle, secures the rental area and the technical operation.
· Site perimeter fence to be 2.7m high ClearVu or similar fence, with extended post to 3m accommodating an electric fence.

Connectivity
· Carrier mix from global tier 1 supplier to regional supplier
· Inter data centre connectivity between NTT data centres for geo-redundant solutions
· Multi Service Interconnection Platform to connect our clients to major cloud service providers
· Redundant Carrier-Meet-Me-Rooms

Cooling
· Concurrently maintainable AHUs providing fresh air pressurisation and humidity control to data suites
· Chilled water cooling to MMR and to electrical plant rooms (N+1)
