What to Bring?
Welgevonden is about the same elevation as Pretoria and therefore has a similar weather pattern.
The winters are pleasant and usually dry, although cold to freezing temperatures can be experienced during game drives.
Bring warm clothes, including gloves, beanies/hats and jackets.
The days are however pleasant, shorts and t-shirts are sufficient.
Summers are hot, so swimming costumes and sunscreen are a must.
Binoculars, cameras and bird books will also come in handy.
Cuisine
After the morning game drive return to a delicious breakfast with platters of fruits, cold meats & cheese followed by a selection of hot breakfast dishes.
Lunch is served on the veranda outside with the beautiful tranquil sound of the river in the background. Lunch is a light affair.
Dinners alternate between a mouth-watering traditional braai around a blazing fire in the boma or a slightly more intimate gourmet dinner by candlelight in the dining room or on the veranda.
Please be sure to inform us of any dietary requirements e.g. Halaal, Vegetarian etc. so we can ensure that we cater for all your needs.
