Delivering sustainable valueWe’re committed to delivering sustainable value and positively impacting our communities, to build a more sustainable future in line with the United Nations’ (UN’) Sustainable Development Goals. We want to make a difference in education, gender equality, job opportunities, and economic growth, using technology to reduce our impact on the environment.
Our regional sustainability commitment
We’ve committed to provide 5 million young people and children from underserved areas with digital access and education opportunities by 2030.
Since 1995, we’ve continued to invest in the future of our youth in support of this goal, from supporting high school learners, to bringing young graduates and unemployed youth into our business and creating the best technical talent for the IT industry.
To ensure the sustainability of our country and our youth, we’re giving young people access to skills in technologies like cybersecurity and IoT as well as developing their entrepreneurial skills through our Saturday School.
We have an in-house bursary scheme that was developed in 2007 to afford our Saturday School graduates the opportunity to further their studies at a university of their choice. Over 100 of our learners have benefited from the bursary scheme. Several others have attracted bursaries from our partners and other external companies because of their outstanding results. Once they have graduated, our learners are given the opportunity to apply for our graduate programs. These expose them to the latest technology and help them to develop skills and build careers in technology.
