Enterprise Development Programme
The Dimension Data Business Enterprise Development Programme is an initiative aimed at further promoting entrepreneurial skills as well as broadening the supplier base of the ICT industry.
This initiative involves intensive online- and classroom-based training and runs for a period of 12 months, which is enhanced by mentorship and coaching from recognised ICT leaders in the industry.
Why an entrepreneur? My father had his own small business and I used to help him every day. We’d buy milk that was about to expire and sell it to the townships and that’s when I decided that I wanted to start my own company, make my own money, and be proud of what I had created.
I registered my company in 2011, entered the Business Enterprise Development Programme and moved to the Campus in Bryanston, Johannesburg in 2012. Since then we’ve built a strong relationship with Dimension Data. That’s what it‘s all about – building mutually beneficial relationships. It’s not easy; it takes time to build these business relationships, but it was exactly what I needed. Dimension Data created a platform from where I could truly begin to grow my business.
Being surrounded by Dimension Data’s work culture helped us grow – the teaching, the platform of professionalism, and the business etiquette made such a difference. But you still need to make it on your own and prove yourself, and that’s what we’re doing every, single day.
