The primary responsibility of the Technical Consultant NI is to provide design, configuration and escalated problem management in client environments of medium/high complexity.
What you'll be doing
This position requires you to translate medium/high complexity business requirements into functional requirements and develop technical solutions. You will act as trusted advisor for our clients by understanding client’s requirements and demonstrating technical expertise.
You play an active role in enhancing current solution concepts or creating new ones. You will work on technical requirements, specifications, solution design and development. You are required to work on multiple projects at the same time.
The Technical Consultant NI is expected to provide in-depth technical skills at escalated levels. (troubleshooting)
Mentorship of engineers is provided to encourage their professional growth.
You will provide assistance to Pre-Sales and will be involved in pre-sales processes within complex customer environments. You also contribute expertise in regards to design and configuration requirements in relation to complex RFP / RFI and proposals.

At this level the Technical Consultant NI displays persuasive and confident presentation, writing and report/proposal ability. You display good interpersonal skills and are able to work well in a team. You have very strong technical and analytical skills. You are able to motivate your team to ensure optimal performance.
The individual will be expected to leverage a level of business understanding. You are expected to be technology lead for specific technologies and to use your deep knowledge of these technologies to propose enhancements and improvements.
The Technical Consultant NI requires a high level of technical ability and education (top level vendor certificates, diploma or degree level) with respect to market, verticals, horizontals, business administration and business change. E.G. Cisco CCIE , HP MASE, Juniper JNCIP.
Proved knowledge and experience of (new) technologies is key to this position.
